MahaDBT Scheme for Farmers The application process for subsidy for the distribution of seeds and fertilizers has started on the Agriculture Department’s Maha-DBT portal.
National Food Security Mission has been run in the state with the cooperation of the Central Government since 2007-08. After reviewing the Eleventh Five Year Plan, crops like rice, wheat, pulses, etc.
These schemes have been included in the 12th Five-Year Plan and are being implemented according to the guidelines of the Twelfth Five-Year Plan from 2014-15.
MahaDBT Scheme for Seeds and Fertilizers
The central government has changed the National Food Security Mission and has started two separate campaigns from 2018-19.
Maize has been included in pulses under the National Food Security Mission, while a separate campaign is being run for jowar, bajri and ragi under the Poshit Grain Scheme. Separate funds have also been set for these two schemes.
MahaDBT Scheme for Farmers
Under this scheme, farmers will receive subsidies for various types of assistance. These include seed distribution, micronutrients for integrated nutrient management, crop protection drugs, biological agents, and herbicides for integrated pest management. All these factors aim to increase farmers’ production capacity.
Eligibility MahaDBT Scheme for Farmers
Crop-wise selected districts
- For Rice (Rasua Bhaat), There Are eight districts: Nashik, Pune, Satara, Nagpur, Bhandara, Gondia, Chandrapur, and Gadchiroli.
- There are three districts for wheat (Rasua wheat): Solapur, Beed, and Nagpur.
- For Pulses (Rasua Dal) – All districts.
- For Maize (Rasua Big Grain) – A total of seven districts, namely Sangli, Ahmednagar, Aurangabad, Jalna, Nashik, Dhule, Jalgaon
- For Nutritious Cereals (Rasua Nutritious Grain)-
a.) Sorghum- 23 districts.
b.) Millet- 11 districts.
c.) Ragi- 7 districts.
d.) Cotton- Districts of Amravati and Nagpur divisions.
e.) Sugarcane- Districts of Aurangabad and Latur divisions.
Subsidy from a single scheme: Farmers will benefit from a single scheme; hence, an application can be made for one item under a single scheme.
Caste Certificate: Scheduled Caste and Tribe farmers must submit a caste certificate.
Crop Status: Farmers applying for pulses and oilseeds must have the respective crop in their fields.
7/12 & 8/A Transcript: 7/12 & 8/A Transcript of the respective field should be in the name of the applicant farmer.

- 8-A.
- Caste Certificate for SC/ST beneficiaries if required.
- Undertaking and prior consent.
Online Application Process for Maha DBT Kisan Yojana(Seed/Fertilizer).
- Farmers need to link their mobile numbers to their Aadhar Cards to take advantage of the benefits of the MahaDBT Scheme for Farmers.
- Visit https://mahadbt.maharashtra.gov.in/farmer/login/login and log in to the Maha DBT Portal using your Aadhar number.
- Below are the application options. Farmers can apply through their mobile, desktop, laptop, tablet, or even through their government centre at the CSC centre and Gram Panchayat.
- After logging in, fill in the personal details and click the Apply button.
- Select Scheme- Various schemes are available in the farmer login, but for Seed and Fertilizer distribution, choose the “Seeds, Medicines and Fertilizers” option and click the “Select Item” button.
- Filling Details- The applicant should complete the required details and click the Save button.
- Submit Application—Clicking this button will bring up a confirmation pop-up. After clicking OK, the applicant will be directed to the payment page.
Payment Process—Clicking on the Make Payment button will open the payment gateway, where the applicant can make the payment. After payment, a printout of the receipt can be taken.
This process is simple and easy for the farmers, and the application can be submitted quickly by filling in all the required information.
