The revised climate-based ‘Fruit Crop Insurance Scheme’ Ambia Bahar Fal Pik Vima Yojna 2024-25 In 30 districts of Maharashtra, nine major fruit crops will be implemented: pomegranate, orange, mosambi, cashew, banana, grapes, mangoes, papaya, and strawberries.

Ambia Bahar Fal Pik Vima Yojna
Ambia Bahar Fal Pik Vima Yojna will be voluntary for borrowers and non-respective farmers. Farmers will decide whether to participate. To do so, they must go to the bank where they have taken a pick loan and submit a manifesto.
Suppose the loan-taking farmers do not want to participate in this Ambia Bahar Fal Pik Vima Yojna. In that case, they must inform their bank seven days before the due date so the insurance premium cannot be deducted from their loan account.
If the borrowing farmers want to join this Ambia Bahar Fal Pik Vima Yojna, they must complete the necessary documents at the bank.
Suppose the bank is not informed of non-participation by the due date. In that case, they will be automatically considered part of the Ambia Bahar Fal Pik Vima Yojna, and their insurance premium will be deducted from their loan account.
This insurance cover will be available only to productive gardens. Farmers should take caution.
The producing age of fruit crops for this scheme will be as follows: 5 years for mango, gram, and cashew, 4 years for lemon, and 3 years for orange, mango, guava, Sharifa, pomegranate, grapes, and any producer.
For bananas, papaya, and strawberries, there is no age limit of 2 years. However, if the gardens’ age exceeds these criteria, the insurance coverage will be cancelled.
The scheme will be implemented in notified districts through some companies. We are giving it here,
Indian Agricultural Insurance Company Limited for Jalgaon, Nanded, Hingoli, Yavatmal, Sindhudurg, Kolhapur, Wardha and Ratnagiri,
Future Janarli India Insurance Company Limited for Jalna district,
Universal Sompo General Insurance Company Limited for Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Dharashiv, Amravati, Akola, Nagpur, Parbhani, Raigad, Nandurbar
Bajaj Allianz General Insurance Company Limited for Thane, Palghar, Dhule, Pune, Sangli, Latur, Buldhana, Nashik, Ahmednagar, Solapur, Satara, Beed, and Washim districts.
The scheme will be implemented through these companies.
Ambia Bahar Fal Pik Vima Yojna 2024-25 for nine crops, i.e., grapes, mangos, bananas, oranges, cashews, mango, and pomegranate, as well as specific weather hazards such as the amount of hailstorm that has been announced.
Farmers have been given a time limit to participate in this scheme. For example, the time limit for grape crops is 15 October 2024, while for pomegranate, it is 14 January 2025. Insurance coverage is also available for hailstorms but requires additional insurance premiums, and participation is voluntary.
The insurance premium for farmers to participate in the scheme is generally 5% of the insurance amount, but some districts may have a higher premium.
Under this scheme, insurance cover will cover the dangers of weather, such as unseasonal rains, temperature fluctuations, air speeds, and hailstorms. Insured farmers will get compensation through the insurance company in case of violation of climate factors.
Farmers must register on the National Crop Insurance Portal PMFBY website to participate in this scheme. To get unique insurance coverage for hailstorms, farmers must pay additional premiums in addition to their regular insurance premiums through banks.

Apply Online Anbia Bahar Fal Pik Vima Yatra 2025
- Go to the portal, open the PMFBY website, and choose your language, Marathi. https://pmfby.gov.in
- Click on Farmer Corner. Click the Farmer Corner option on the main page.
- Log in or choose the guest farmer option—if you are new to the portal, select guest farmer. Click on the Guest Farmer option. If an account has already been created, select the option to log in.
- Fill in the details—When creating a new account, please complete your information, such as name, address, bank details, etc., and click submit.
- Mobile Number Verification—Enter your mobile number and click the verified button. Then, a captcha code will be displayed on the screen. Enter it and click on the Get OTP button.
- Verify OTP: Enter the OTP received on your mobile and proceed.
- Fill out the insurance scheme form. Include the necessary information, such as crop details, bank account details, and insurance premium amount, when filling out the form.
- Upload these crucial documents.

After checking that all the information filled in is complete and correct, submit the form.
E-Seva Center \ Bank Contact: If there is any difficulty completing the online process, contact the nearest e-service centre \ bank or financial institution and register the application.
